Human appointments
What to expect:
These appointments are based at one of two separate clinics in Twyford or Winchester. I treat a range of conditions from back and neck pain to joint pain and sports injuries.
We will start by having a chat about your pain/condition. I will ask a variety of questions to help me identify the cause and how I may be able to help. It is important for me to know any underlying health conditions as well as to know what your goals are so I can tailor my treatment plan to suit you.
I will then conduct a physical examination which might include some orthopaedic and/or neurological tests.
You will be given an explanation of your condition and will have the opportunity to ask any questions. The treatment plan will be specifically tailored to you to ensure you receive the most appropriate care. I aim to do some treatment in your first visit but occasionally time does not allow it or treatment on the day is not appropriate.
Sometimes further investigations are required. In this case, I can refer you to your GP or for imaging (X-rays, ultrasound, MRI) privately.
In the event I believe chiropractic treatment is not for you, I will refer you to the most appropriate place.

What to wear:
Loose fitting clothing is usually best. Please be aware you may be required to remove some clothing in order for a thorough examination to be conducted.
Men: Loose fitting shorts are a good idea
Women: Shorts and a bra (not racer back) or strappy top are ideal
A gown will be provided if preferred

Why book a human chiropractic appointment?
Most of my human patients initially come to the clinic because they have hurt their back or neck. It is then that they realise chiropractors treat more than just backs and necks.

Are you suffering from back/neck pain or stiffness?
Do you get headaches or migraines?
Have you recently acquired a minor sports injury such as a sprained ankle?
Are you suffering from tennis elbow or plantar fasciitis?
Do you have a shoulder or hip problem?
Are you suffering from generalised aches and pains or tension and an inability to relax?

The above are all reasons why chiropractic treatment may be able to help you.
Are you pregnant? Not a problem. Chiropractors are trained to treat pregnant ladies.
If you are unsure if chiropractic is for you, I offer a free 20 minute consultation at either clinic where you will have the opportunity to ask any questions and we can discuss what treatment may involve.
