Equine appointments
It is no longer a requirement to seek permission from your vet in order to treat your horse with chiropractic care. However, chiropractic care does not replace veterinary care. Therefore, any lameness MUST be assessed by your vet prior to chiropractic treatment being carried out. If Clare is unsure in any way that chiropractic is suitable, there will be a small call out fee and treatment will be postponed until she has veterinary approval.

What to expect:
I travel to you so your horse is comfortable in a familiar environment. Also, it is rather tricky to get the horse on the treatment bench in the clinic!

We will start by having a chat about your horse and the symptoms he/she may be exhibiting. I will ask a variety of questions to help me identify what treatment your horse needs. It is important for me to know any underlying health conditions or previous injuries so I can fully understand your horse and know what I can do to help.
I will then examine your horse. This involves watching him/her walk and trot as well as a hands on examination. If chiropractic care is suitable for your horse we will discuss a treatment plan and if you are happy, treatment will commence in that first visit.
In the event I believe chiropractic treatment is not suitable, I will refer you to your vet for further investigation and management.

I treat all types of horses from keeping competition horses at the top of their game to those old faithfuls that are simply needing a bit of TLC.

Why book an equine chiropractic appointment?
Any horse can benefit from chiropractic care whether they are out competing regularly or go for a gentle plod every now and then. Chiropractic focuses on restoring function. If your horse functions properly, he/she will be more comfortable and will likely perform better.

Have you noticed your horse is struggling more on one rein than the other e.g. bending or canter leads?
Are your horse's shoes worn unevenly?
Have you noticed a change in your horse's behaviour recently?
Do you do carrot stretches with your horse and notice they can do it easily one side but struggle with the other?
Does your horse object to being tacked up?
Is your horse less willing or forward when ridden?
The above are all reasons why chiropractic care may be able to help your horse. If you would like to get in touch, click the link below.

Lastly, have you considered getting yourself checked out? A wonky, unbalanced rider will result in a wonky, unbalanced horse. Why not get yourself booked in for an assessment to see how I can help you to help your horse
