Canine appointments

It is no longer a requirement to seek permission from your vet in order to treat your dog with chiropractic care. However, chiropractic care does not replace veterinary care. Therefore, any lameness MUST be assessed by your vet prior to chiropractic treatment being carried out. If Clare is unsure in any way that chiropractic is suitable, there will be a small call out fee and treatment will be postponed until she has veterinary approval.

What to expect:

I travel to you so your dog is comfortable in a familiar environment.

We will start by having a chat about your dog and the symptoms he/she may be exhibiting. I will ask a variety of questions to help me identify what treatment your dog needs. It is important for me to know any underlying health conditions or previous injuries so I can fully understand your dog and know what I can do to help.

I will then examine your dog. This involves watching him/her walk and move around as well as a hands on examination. If chiropractic care is suitable for your dog we will discuss a treatment plan and if you are happy, treatment will commence in that first visit.

In the event I believe chiropractic treatment is not suitable, I will refer you to your vet for further investigation and management.

I treat all types of dogs from keeping agility and fly ball dogs at the top of their game to those old faithfuls that are simply needing a bit of TLC.

Why book a canine chiropractic appointment?

Any dog can benefit from chiropractic care whether they are out competing regularly e.g. agility, fly ball etc or they are a family pet who enjoys their walks.

Are you wanting to enhance your dog's competition performance?

Have you noticed your dog slowing down on walks or being reluctant to go out?

Does your dog struggle to jump on the sofa or in and out of the car?

Is your dog showing signs of age related or arthritic changes?

Does your dog look stiff when trying to get up from lying down?

The above are all reasons why chiropractic care may be able to help your dog. If you would like to get in touch, click the link below.
